1/4, 1/2, & Whole Beef
All our beef is grass fed and barley finished. If you want completely grass fed please contact us directly as the supplies are limited. A half animal hanging weight ranges from 300-450 lbs.
Here’s what you get with a half beef (your individual cuts may vary depending upon the size of your animal and your cut ):
Roasts (3-4 lbs each)
Shoulder roast- 3-4 Packages
Chuck roast- 6-8 packages
Sirloin tip roast- 3 packages
Rump roast- 1 package
Eye of round roast 2 packages
Steaks (standard is 3/4″ thick, 2 per package)
T-bone- 10-12 steaks
Rib eye- 12-16 steaks
Flank steak- 2 steaks
Round steak (on a quarter, half are tenderized) 8-10 steaks
Sirloin 6-8 steaks
You will receive approximately 70 lbs of ground beef. The beef is packaged in 1.5 lb packages.
Stew meat- 8 0.5 lb packages
Short ribs- 3 packages (3-4 in a package)
Soup bones- 5 packages
Organ Meat: Liver, Tongue, Heart, Oxtail
Any and all cuts can be made into ground beef.
Price from Homer/Anchorage to Fairbanks and it’s surrounding area: $8/lb based on hanging weight*
*Quick definition: hanging weight is the weight of the cow carcass after initial slaughter and processing. It’s the weight of the carcass after the hide, head and some organs have been removed. The actual meat you will receive is typically 60% +/- of the hanging weight.
If ordering a quarter, half the amount of cuts. If ordering a full, double the amounts you see above. If ordering a quarter half the amounts. Cuts are subject to change based on the animal. Price is standard across all order sizes.
